Next week will be Mid-Autumn Festival. A time for gazing at the full moon, eating mooncakes and playing with lanterns.
The story of Mid-Autumn Festival is about a woman named Chang Er, she stole the king’s medicine. The medicine would give her long life. But the medicine was too strong and made her fly up to the moon.
So, today we go outside every year with our lanterns and mooncakes to say, ‘hello’ to Chang Er.
What do you think of Mid-Autumn Festival?
What will you do?
Tell us all about it!
But remember to be careful next week and don’t play with wax.

I am glad you had fun and got to see the Moon. I too went out to have a look at the Moon. That night it was very big, silver and round. A very enjoyable night. We don’t have Mid-Autumn Festival in England so I was very interested to learn about the festival and the story behind the festival. Unfortunately, I don’t like moon cakes!
